Easter Maze Printables
Mazes shaped like an Easter egg, a bunny, a chick and more. Pick a shape and a level, then print.
This Easter maze tool makes printable Easter mazes in the shape of an egg, bunny, chick, carrot, Easter basket, tulip or lamb. It runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to install and no sign-up. Puzzles are made on your device and nothing is uploaded, which makes it a free Easter maze printable generator.
The page opens on an Easter egg maze at Easy difficulty, one maze per page. Change the shape, difficulty or number of mazes, then print the sheet or save it as a PDF. Every maze has its own seed, so you can reprint the same sheet later. Use it for an easter bunny maze for a child’s activity page, an Easter egg hunt maze, or an easter maze worksheet for a classroom.
How to use the Easter Maze Generator
- Click one of the shape buttons next to the settings, such as Easter egg, bunny or chick. For more shapes, open More shapes on the Design tab.
- Choose a Difficulty. Very easy and Easy suit young children. Medium, Hard, Very hard and Expert add more cells, more dead ends and longer routes.
- Under More options on the Design tab, tick Kid-friendly (thicker walls, wider paths) if a young child will trace the route with a crayon.
- Open the Print tab. Set Mazes per page (1, 2, 4 or 6), Number of pages (1 to 20) and Paper size (US Letter or A4).
- The sheet title is the shape name followed by “Maze”, such as “Bunny Maze”; type your own in the Title field if you like.
- Turn on Add answer pages, Show title or Number the mazes as needed. For a sheet with a name and date line, set Page layout to Worksheet.
- Click Print / Save as PDF. In the browser print dialog, choose Save as PDF as the destination if you want a file.
Click New maze to get a different puzzle with the same settings. Show solution draws the route in red on screen. Copy link shares the exact sheet, and Download SVG or Download PNG saves the maze as an image.
Which Easter shapes are there?
The tool has seven Easter and spring shapes: egg, bunny, chick, carrot, Easter basket, tulip and lamb. Each maze fills the picture outline, and the outer wall follows the shape. The Start and Finish sit on the outline at the two points farthest apart along the paths.
Shape changes the length of the puzzle. An Easter egg has a route of about 79 cells at Very easy and about 680 at Hard. A bunny has about 64 cells at Very easy and about 480 at Hard. The Easter basket is the smallest shape, with about 48 cells at Very easy and about 108 at Easy.
Are there easy Easter mazes for preschoolers?
Yes. Use Very easy difficulty with Kid-friendly turned on. Very easy uses 16 cells across the picture and opens a few extra passages, so there is more than one way through. Kid-friendly uses about 20% fewer cells for the same difficulty and thicker walls, so a child can draw the route with a crayon.
The Easter basket is a good first shape because its Very easy route is about 48 cells. Set Mazes per page to 1 so each child has room to draw, and print the answer page for yourself.
How can you use an Easter egg hunt maze?
You can use a printed maze as a basket filler. Print one Easter maze, add it to a small Easter basket with a treat, and let the child solve it as part of the gift.
For an egg hunt clue, print a maze, hide it along the hunt, and use the answer pages to check the route before you hide it.
For a classroom spring party, set Page layout to Worksheet and choose 2 or 4 mazes per page. Turn on Number the mazes so each child’s sheet is easy to match, and print the answer pages for the teacher.
